3. Categories of data processed
“Processing of personal data” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, dissemination, alignment, restriction, erasure or destruction (Art. 4(2) GDPR).
3.1 Personal Data
The personal data processed include: Identification and contact data, such as name, surname, address, telephone number, email address, and any additional data voluntarily provided through forms on the website.
3.2 Browsing Data
The IT systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire certain personal data as part of their normal operation. The transmission of such data is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. These data are used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on website use and to ensure its proper functioning. They are deleted immediately after processing. In case of suspected cybercrime against the website, such data may be used to ascertain liability; otherwise, they are not retained for more than seven days.
3.3 Data voluntarily provided
The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s personal data. Entering personal data to access specific services (e.g. contact forms, newsletter subscription, job applications) involves the collection and processing of such data, which is necessary to respond to requests, as well as any additional personal data included in the communication.
3.4 Registration Data
The website allows certain categories of professional users to register and create a personal account. With regard to personal data processed within the restricted area registration service, the Controller will process only the data strictly necessary to provide the service, unless further processing is based on an appropriate legal basis pursuant to Article 6 GDPR (e.g. consent).
4. Purposes of processing and legal basis
Personal data will be processed by the Controller for purposes strictly related and instrumental to the execution of the contract entered into with Porro S.p.A., as well as to comply with legal obligations, regulations, EU legislation, or orders from supervisory authorities. For these purposes, consent is not required, as the legal basis consists of contract performance and legal obligations. Data will be processed for the time necessary to achieve these purposes and subsequently retained only for the period required by applicable law. Personal data will also be processed to respond to requests submitted via the website (e.g. contact form submissions, registration requests). The legal basis for such processing is the fulfillment of a data subject’s request; therefore, consent is not required. Data will be retained only for the time strictly necessary to manage the request and, in any case, no longer than [6] months, unless registration is requested, in which case data will be retained until the user decides to remain registered. For legal compliance purposes, data will be retained for the period required by applicable legislation, including statutory limitation periods.

Personal data may be accessed and processed by employees and/or collaborators of Porro S.p.A., duly authorized and acting under the Controller’s authority, solely for purposes related to the services requested. Data may also be disclosed to third parties acting as Data Processors, such as: IT service providers outsourcing service providers consultants and professionals supporting Porro S.p.A. These parties process data on behalf of the Controller for operational and service-related purposes. For marketing purposes, personal data may also be collected through platforms and tools managed by third parties engaged by the Controller, always in compliance with applicable legal bases and subject to the data subject’s consent where required.
