Atelier Gerini, via Sant'Andrea, Milano
Porro contributes to the furnishing of THE APARTMENT, the temporary house of Elle Decor magazine inside the Atelier Gerini sited in the via Sant’Andrea. Location with a history in the heart of Milan, where the celebrated dressmaker Biki used to cut gowns for the “Divine” Maria Callas, with its hight-valuted ceilings, the tall windows and the mirrors preserves the airy charm and atmosphere of glamorous era, rethought by the interior design and styling project by DWA Design Studio. The dining room is dominated by the Porro design, an imposing Ryoba table with a solid European black stained cherry wood top in a custom version - made 5m long, surrounded by Neve chairs in black stained ash in the double version with total look in wood or with seat upholstered in black leather, and by the two-tone Gentle chairs, three iconic Porro pieces.
The set up is completed by 4 Brina stools in black stained ash and 5 Enigmi carpets with contrasting graphical embroided elements.
The quality of the materials, the purity of the forms and the attention to detail make the design of the brand ideal both in domestic and contract contexts, whenever a unique, totally customizable and high quality interior is desired.
"Every house is UNIQUE: Porro has always tried to answer the specific questions of each inhabitant with personalized answers, thanks to the flexibility of its systems, the incredibly wide range of finishes, the various functional solutions. A common thread between projects, even very different ones, is the quality of materials, processes, design and production, which has always been a daily obsession for Porro "- Maria Porro, fourth generation and head of marketing and communication Porro S.p.A.
