Those who seek, find @ Porro Milano Showroom

17.02.26

From February 6th to March 15th, Porro takes part in the tenth edition of Milano MuseoCity, the widespread cultural event that this year is set within the extraordinary context of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The PORRO MILANO showroom on Via Visconti di Modrone 29 becomes part of the special “In Vetrina” selection, a route that invites visitors to rediscover the city through thirty galleries and shops transformed into unconventional exhibition spaces. Site-specific installations and archive objects come together in a unique event that turns Milan not only into the global capital of sport, but also into an open, inclusive, and dynamic cultural laboratory.
Inside the showroom, “Chi cerca trova” (“Those who seek, find”) takes shape: an exhibition project conceived by Sfelab to narrate Porro’s centenary through a poetic and playful language. The exhibition unfolds into a dialogue with a selection of works by the artist Giuliano Mauri, made available by the Associazione Giuliano Mauri, in keeping with MuseoCity’s mission to connect cultural institutions with Milan’s commercial fabric.

“Those who seek, find” is not just a saying: it is an invitation to look at the world with curious eyes. To seek means to slow down, to observe more closely, to allow oneself to be surprised by what often escapes a first glance. Every discovery, even the smallest, carries with it a spark of wonder.
To celebrate its centenary, Porro presents a diffuse exhibition path that retraces the company’s identity and its tireless pursuit of beauty: boxes, drawers, display cases, frames, and sideboards become narrative devices that hold fragments of history, materials, images, and memories.

Serving as a guiding thread throughout the showroom is the distinctive blueprint blue—the technical, luminous tone of the heliographic prints once used for architects’ drawings—highlighting the company’s close dialogue with the world of architecture.
Keywords such as identity, beauty, discovery, vision, matter, light, form, design culture, research, longevity, craftsmanship, functionality, space and transversal landscape — printed on large blue fabrics visible even from the shop windows — guide the exhibition layout and convey what distinguishes Porro’s design, offering visitors a key to interpret the entire experience.

Giuliano Mauri’s works are the special guests of the exhibition: “Anfora Votiva”, “Spirale” e “Isole Vaganti”. Architectures made of nature, echoing the sounds of the forest while engaging in dialogue with the company’s expertise in wood craftsmanship, a core element of its DNA.
