From 9 to 12 December 2021 Porro returns to China to take part in Design Shenzhen.
As one of the most appreciated design brands in the world thanks to its architectural viewpoint in the design of space and to an ideal of beauty made of pure shapes, extremely accurate workmanship and research on materials and technologies, Porro closes 2021 participating to the largest curated event dedicated to architecture, design and style ever seen in Shenzhen, with over 150 world-class brands and installations.
New bespoke event organized by the creators of Design Shanghai, carefully tailored to suit the needs of the local market, Design Shenzhen will see the presence of the Italian brand in a booth in collaboration with Fuyicasa, owner of the Porro Flagship Store in Shanghai.
In the dining room, which can be used also as a home-office studio, the Pascal table by Piero Lissoni epitomizes the perfect combination between structural quality and design content. It is characterized by the visual lightness of its die-cast aluminium wing-shaped leg that is seamlessly connected to the horizontal structure supporting the table top available in a variety of materials, creating an interplay of superimpositions and a double thickness.
Geometric allure and retro-styled design are the key elements of the new Romby armchair by GamFratesi, with its abstract charm. The truncated cone base in solid ash wood, natural or black stained, whose flared shape is obtained through slices made with great cabinet-making skills, is connected to a soft and compact padded swivel seat covered in leather and fabric.
Chair with precise contours draws inspiration from typical 1950’s furniture, making it up-to-date, Voyage by GamFratesi is made up of an exposed framework in tapered solid maple; across it, a saddle leather covering is stretched and gives shape to a very comfortable and ergonomic seat and backrest.
Resized in its thicknesses, expanded with new accessories and matched with Left, the new upside-down T-shaped feet, the Modern system of containers design Piero Lissoni + CRS Porro with black varnished aluminum top, black stained canneté doors with a dense horizontal stripe design, is an industrial product that appears as a unique, artisanal piece.
As the main protagonist of the night scenarios, brand’s visiting card and quintessence of its bespoke possibilities, the Storage system of wardrobes and dressing rooms designed by Piero Lissoni + CRS Porro matches fully transparent glass compartments alongside others that are partially or completely closed, in an interplay of full and empty spaces and architectural spaces that are every time different, to be experienced.
In the center lives the Hub central drawer unit by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti in eucalyptus, which alternates wood and glass drawers on one side and on the other wood drawers and a bench solution in sand colored leather with a chest where to sit to calmly contemplate one’s wardrobe, the heart of the home and a must-have item from the Porro’s offering.
