Porro joins "Adopt a School," the project promoted by the Altagamma Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, aimed at building a virtuous relationship between technical-professional schools and Italian luxury companies, to respond to the needs of companies that now train and search for manufacturing talents.

Associated with Altagamma since 2017 with the aim of preserving and promoting its cultural heritage, the Porro company embraces this initiative renovated in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on January 23 in Rome by Minister Giuseppe Valditara and Altagamma President Matteo Lunelli, with the patronage of the European Commission, falling - for the school year 2023/24 - under the activities of the European Year of Skills, promoted by the same Commission.

With an avant-garde industrial production and a strong international vocation, Porro has always maintained a deep connection with the area in which it operates. Porro's awareness of sustainable design also includes social commitment which is reflected in its search for local workers and its collaborative relationship with neighboring schools to preserve the traditions and savoir-faire of the Brianza territory.

Always committed to training in the Wood Furnishings sector, Porro has activated an agreement for the years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 with the Enaip Training Center of Cantù for the implementation of professionalizing training courses. The training module offers students the opportunity to learn in a real situation a complete and complex production cycle, to acquire knowledge about materials used, production line, characteristics of the departments, construction types up to the final product and its presentation in the showroom, with both theoretical and practical moments.

Porro is one of the 9 new Altagamma companies involved in this third edition, added to the 22 already active in the project for a total of 31 companies and 37 "adopted" schools in 11 Italian regions, and - over the three years - more than 120 activated classes and more than 2,500 students.
