Porro announces the opening of its new branded showroom in Jakarta, the result of a strategic partnership with BIKA.
The new exhibition space embodies the meeting between the elegance of Italian design and Asian influences: rich colors, dark woods, and artistic accents showcase the brand’s latest collections in a sophisticated and contemporary environment, designed to offer an immersive experience consistent with Porro’s identity.
In the dining area at the entrance, the geometric shapes of the Materic Ovale table by Piero Lissoni, are paired with Voyage chairs designed by GamFratesi. A precious showcase both to the touch and to the eye, Ex-libris by Piero Lissoni is presented with a dark base and top in black sugi melamine.
On the wall, Layer wall panels in the new ebano tech finish—a fascinating black wood rich in vertical grain—enhance the Origata console by Nao Tamura, lacquered in Siena orange.
The living area is arranged around the Ferro low table by Piero Lissoni, lacquered in verde inglese. Conversation flows comfortably on the Kite Sofa by GamFratesi, accompanied by the matching armchair. Visually connecting the living and dining areas is System HT, which reinterprets and transforms the System bookcase designed by Piero Lissoni + CRS Porro into a true wall tapestry.
The dining room features an iconic piece: the Metallico table by Piero Lissoni, with a Calacatta green marble top. It is accompanied by Frank chairs by Piero Lissoni, and the Gallery Low Cupboard by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, with top and front in black-stained ash.
The installation continues in the meeting room, characterized by a strong personality. Here, the Pascal table by Piero Lissoni, with black-stained ash top is paired with Neve chairs by Piero Lissoni in black-stained ash. A Modern + Load-it composition equips the room with character. The Load-it bookcase designed by Wolfgang Tolk, with steel shelves and wall panels, acts as a backdrop for the suspended elements, the floor platform with Valentine Grey marble top and the closed compartments in Canaletto walnut with open modules in arancio siena lacquer of Modern system.
In the night area, the Iro bed by GamFratesi is embellished by the Hub bedside tables by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti in eucalipto with Calacatta Oro marble tops. In the niche, the Storage wardrobe designed by Piero Lissoni + CRS Porro is presented with Block doors in reflex glass. The Storage wardrobe features thick 32S doors in sand-colored lacquer, with recessed Glove handles in leather-covered metal. A vanity niche is created by the Modern + Load-it composition with steel shelves, sabbia lacquered panels, mirror and noce canaletto desk. Seating is provided by the Romby armchair by GamFratesi.
Finally, the large Storage dressing room, designed by Piero Lissoni + CRS Porro and accessed through Glide Shanghai sliding partitions, alternates compartments in eucalipto23 melamine with transparent modules. At the center is the Storage Isola chest of drawers.
With this new Indonesian opening, Porro continues its international expansion strategy with a particular focus on Asia, where high-quality Italian design meets local taste in unique solutions, expressing the brand’s experience and its natural aptitude for bespoke design.
