Porro at Casa Italiana exhibition in New York

06.05.25

Porro is protagonist in NY within Casa Italiana, a new exhibition dedicated to the excellence of Italian design organized by Interni magazine, to celebrate Italian design.
Curated by Paola Navone / Studio Otto and promoted in collaboration with ITA – Italian Trade Agency, the exhibition will be held from May 13 to 20 at the ICE headquarters at 33 E 67th St., New York, as part of NYCxDesign and ICFF

Porro is showcasing three pieces that represent its design vision: the Romby chair by GamFratesi, with a black-stained ash wood base and a padded red wool seat, sculptural and embracing in shape; the Origata console by Nao Tamura, made of folded aluminum lacquered in glossy rosso fire, inspired by the essential elegance of Japanese tradition; and Balancing Boxes by Front, a small table in lauro preto featuring staggered volumes as though balancing in space.

The official opening will take place on May 14 with the talk “The Italian Home. Where Design Meets History”, with the presentation of the special Interni Big Italy New York 2025 issue.
