The furnishings by Porro is featured in the lounge of INTERNI magazine, with interior design by Francesca Portesine for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, on the occasion of the iconic ICFF – International Contemporary Furniture Fair, held at the Javits Center (429 11th Ave), from Sunday 17 to Tuesday 19 May.
The timeless quality of a well-crafted design is embodied by Boxes, a family of storage units with drawers designed by Piero Lissoni in 2003, where the purity of form engages in dialogue with bold and unexpected colour combinations. The result is a playful object, especially in the fully mirrored version available for the six-drawer dresser, for home and office environments.
Finally, Romby chairs, designed by the duo GamFratesi in 2020, combine vintage references with a geometric, abstract allure. The base, a tapered cone in black-stained solid ash, is crafted in segmented woodwork as a refined cabinetmaking exercise and connects to a compact, welcoming upholstered swivel seat in orange fabric—designed for dining or workspaces that do not compromise on comfort.
