Porro design for Spazio Te

Info

Porro design was chosen for Spazio Te, a new place of refreshment and lightness inaugurated last September 1st, 2019 in the splendid setting of the museum of Palazzo Te in Mantua.
With a double-height coffee shop and a wide library, to allow museum visitors and citizens to stop, deepen, refresh and enjoy the beauty of the Exedra Garden at dusk, the interior design of Spazio Te was curated by Negretti Architettura d'Interni, which has chosen Porro’s functionality, elegance and design to characterize the reading room.
The two sides of the room, accompanying with their rhythm the eye towards the splendid garden, are closed by two imposing compositions of Boutique Mast, the Porro system with nautical lightness and graphic linearity, allowing maximum expressive freedom.
Signed by Piero Lissoni + Porro Research Centre, Boutique Mast is characterized by metal uprights on which it is possible to hang large cantilever shelves with a "glider wing": a new concept of container for the living area with which to create aerial compositions of great visual impact and totally customizable solutions.
The sequence of iron metal uprights and black lacquered horizontal shelves weave a dialogue with the pictorial works above, the Variazioni sul blu by Sonia Costantini, visible up to 31 August 2020.
