Porro proposals for the day environments and night area of the home have been chosen by studio EFFE Mauro Ferrari for a project to transform for residential use a former silkscreen works in a provincial town in the area of Brescia (Italy).
The internal space, which has been completely reconstructed inside the original perimeter walls, envisages 240 mq on 2 levels, connected by a stairway and in direct visual communication thanks to a balcony running all around the perimeter.
From the structuring of the interior spaces to the use of white as the prevalent colour, to the design and choice of the furnishings, the project concept is to create harmonious environments, warm and inviting, with an essential and elegant appearance.
The involvement of a brand such as Porro to supply its catalogue products, reinterpreted by the designer in a personal vein, can be read in this way.
In the dining room we are immediately struck by the dimensions of the 4m P.04 table, with its white lacquered top and polished aluminium legs, along with the Storage coplanar wardrobe with flat Mongoy doors and C2 built-in handles, conceived for the bedroom but here proving its facility to also fit into other contexts.
In the living area the undisputed protagonist is Modern, the Porro system of storage units, tops and shelves; this is presented in the centre of the room on two square platforms lacquered gloss white that act as a practical shelf.
Completing the scene are the unusual shapes of Truffle small perforated armchairs made of thermoplastic material lacquered gloss black, while at the piano the Tilt stool is presented here in the bright colour Mars orange.
In the bathroom environment, white Tilt is matched with functional Modern wall-mounted units with bar handles, while in the bedroom on the upper floor is the brown leather Lipla bed with its unusual broken profile, giving continuity to the structure and headboard, complemented by night tables.
