Interior Design project by DeVITALAUDATI studio

The kitchen, the pivot of American domestic life, is the heart of the scenographic project curated by CiroDeVita and RenataLaudati from the Florentine studio DeVITALAUDATI for a New York family, born from the desire to reconcile an innovative apartment, which speaks Italian, with the typical elements of the loft and its great brightness, while safeguarding privacy. Completed in 2019 in Manhattan, the apartment still retains the charm of this type of housing but reveals a decidedly domestic character in the distribution of space and in the choice of materials and Made-in-Italy furniture elements, with numerous pieces from Porro’s collection.
In the dining area, the Metallico table in black painted metal by Piero Lissoni is combined with Voyage chairs by GamFratesi chosen in the variant with a structure in black stained solid ash wood and leather seat: dark notes in contrast with the original brick walls and ceilings painted white.
The Load-it bookcase by Wolfgang Tolk in the living area, the Storage closets, the Pivot door dividing the guest room and the "Den" and the Makura bed and Offshore nightstands in the master bedroom complete the supply in the name of functionality, visual cleanliness and sophisticated finishes, which sees the collaboration of Arkadia Design Firenze for the furnishings, and for the lights and the lighting project of Flos and the agency De Giosa Design of Florence.
