Set on the edge of The Presidio's lush park at the northern end of San Francisco, the new residential complex at 750 Lake Street offers spacious, tranquil homes in one of the city’s most sought-after locations. Each home takes up the entire floor of a renovated and reimagined 1911 neighborhood landmark building and features a unique forest view into Mountain Lake Park.
The interiors, curated by the DZINE showroom, are comprised of a selection of furnishings from the best Italian design brands, including Porro, chosen for both the living and sleeping areas.
The rigorous but soft lines of the Neve chair by Piero Lissoni personalize the dining room, reinterpreting the classic wooden chair in a contemporary key. The chair is proposed in the versions with and without armrests, in black stained ash or white stained ash: if the support structure is characterized by a tracing of clean lines with different thicknesses, the roundness of the spindle legs and the slight curvature of the back and the suspended seat soften its figure, making it extremely intimate and welcoming. The Boxes crystal chest of drawers, a classic by Piero Lissoni, offers space for storage combining the linearity of the sign with the bright colors.
Spindle stools are chosen around the kitchen counter, practical and elegant for the linear structure in extra – small section chromium–plated wire and the white glossy lacquered back and seat.
Porro design is also the protagonist in the bedroom: slightly suspended from the ground, the Makura bed by Piero Lissoni has a welcoming and inviting shape thanks to the sinuous and enveloping headboard and the presence of comfortable removable cushions, completed by the Boxes bedside table and chest of drawers in tortora gray crystal.
