“Making a sofa for Porro is a bit complicated, because it’s about adding great simplicity but also great humanity. It means that at Porro, we don't make sofas that take up all the space. There's a necessary simplicity as a value. 
The challenges with an object like this are always the same. Walking a very, very fine line between simplicity and non-triviality, design but not too much—and not too little either. It’s this balance between an object that is very readable, simple, welcoming, human, generous. So, a simplicity full of human values. 
For me, shared space starts with people, not with boundaries or limits. So I always consider the people and what they do. My job is to support this. To create objects that serve the purpose of people living together”.
