Maria Porro in Jakarta: meeting the Indonesian design community

13.10.26

On 15 and 16 September 2026, the Porro branded showroom at Bika Jakarta welcomed Maria Porro, the company’s Marketing and Communications Director, for two days of meetings with the press, architects and industry professionals. The visit was an opportunity to share the brand’s history and vision, explore its approach to design and strengthen connections with the local design community.

Opened last February, the showroom is the result of a partnership with Bika, a company with over forty years of experience in high-end furnishings. An entire floor dedicated to Porro presents a vision of living that brings together pure forms, material research and compositional freedom, through complete settings spanning living and sleeping areas.

The spaces bring architectural systems such as Storage, System HT and Modern + Load-it into dialogue with some of the collection’s most distinctive pieces: from the Materic Ovale table by Piero Lissoni to the Voyage chairs and Kite Sofa by GamFratesi, alongside the Origata console by Nao Tamura. The generous Storage dressing room, accessed through Glide Shanghai sliding partitions, showcases the possibilities for customisation and the attention to detail that define the brand.

Maria Porro’s visit strengthens the relationship with Bika and highlights Indonesia’s importance in the company’s international development. The showroom provides a place to meet, exchange ideas and discover the quality of Italian design, fostering new connections and opportunities for future projects.
