On the occasion of the presentation of the new Jinling Residences, developed by the real estate group Kerry in Shanghai in July 2025, a curated selection of Porro design icons was showcased in the exhibition "A Century of Innovation – Simplicity Prevails."
The celebrated Maggio and Linea sideboards by Alessandro Mendini, the playful Balancing Boxes by Front, the refined Origata console by Nao Tamura, and the iconic Romby chair by GamFratesi expressed the vision of the brand's timeless, essential design, perfectly in tune with the sophisticated architecture of the new residences.
Accompanying the pieces on display was a large book to browse through—a moodboard of drawings, inspirations, and references poetically narrating the story behind each creation.
During the special Italian Night event, the Frank armchairs and Balancing Boxes table also welcomed the panel speakers: Li Fan, Editor-in-Chief of Tatler China; Philip Liao, Lead Interior Designer of Kerry Jinling Residences; Jifeng Xia, Founder and Curator of the Hive Center for Contemporary Art; and Augusto Di Giacinto of the Italian Trade Agency – ICE Shanghai.
