信息

The desire of a young family to move from the city, with the idea of transforming an old building in Strevi, Alessandria, surrounded by the vineyards in a dominant position over the Bormida valley, into a modern and flexible residence. The suggestive project curated by Daniele Baiotto BAZARQ architettura and Marco Mancini –MEOW architettura keeps the original stone core and shows it as a sculpture inside the house, carry out the necessary extension with materials and shapes of a distinctly contemporary character and make sure that the landscape became integral part of the architecture.
The new expansion was imagined as a transparent volume with large sliding windows supported by an exposed steel structure: a double-height space that hosts the dining area where the essential and iconic Ferro table by Piero Lissoni for Porro fits perfectly, with its curved shape inspired by nature. For dining and carrying out daily activities immersed in the surrounded hilly landscape.
