Furthermore, on the occasion of London Design Festival, on September 18th at 6.30 pm at the ICI London Maria Porro, Head of Marketing & Communication at Porro S.p.A. and President of Salone del Mobile.Milano, discussed innovation and sustainability in contemporary Italian design and architecture with Mario Cucinella, Founder & Design Director of Mario Cucinella Architects, the firm that designed the Italian Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka. The evening started with opening remarks from Ambassador Mario Vattani, Italy’s Commissioner General at Expo 2025, and was moderated by the writer and curator Priya Khanchandani.
The room was furnished by the Romby armchairs by GamFratesi, with 4 central legs in black stained ash and fabric upholstered padded shell, which seem to blossom, widening and rising to create the armrests and releasing an unprecedented feeling of softness and naturalness. They also welcomed the speakers of the talk organized by INTERNI, part of the celebrations for its seventieth anniversary, which ideally inaugurated the London Design Festival the 12th of September featuring four leading figures from the architectural and cultural scene: Ron Arad, designer, Deyan Sudjic, design historian and critic, Michele Pasca di Magliano, director Zaha Hadid Arcitects and Claudia Pasquero, co-founder EcoLogicStudio.
