Porro brings its design to the Sportalm store in Munich

20.10.20

Info

Porro's design has been chosen for the setup of the new clothing store by Sportalm, an international family-run brand based in Kitzbühel, Austria. Originally founded as a small local knitwear workshop, Sportalm now boasts a diverse product range, spanning from sportswear to fashion collections and home accessories – just like in the Munich store, where the Frey family entrusted Found’unique rooms with the interior design of the retail space.
Every detail in the store is carefully curated to offer a unique experience, also through its furnishings.
The common thread in the store's organization, the Boutique Mast walk-in closet by Piero Lissoni for Porro, gives the exhibition space a modern feel while simultaneously evoking Alpine style through the extensive use of wood. Inspired by nautical lightness and graphic linearity, this Porro-designed system offers a sophisticated solution for showcasing clothing and accessories with a suspended and theatrical elegance. The circular-section burnished brass uprights extend vertically, creating a harmonious structure that supports the large cantilevered shelves in natural oak, shaped with a distinctive "glider wing" design. This combination results in a light and sophisticated display, perfect for highlighting every detail of the collections on show. Additionally, the interiors of the open compartments are lacquered in turquoise, a refined hue that adds depth and character to the store. More than just a display system, it enhances each garment, transforming the shopping experience into an aesthetic and sensory journey.
Porro’s production flexibility allows for the customization of the spatial solutions —just like the Sportalm clothing collections, designed to cater to every customer's tastes and needs.
