Porro for the new Baobab restaurant in Valencia

Info

The clean shapes and the research on materials typical of Porro design have been chosen for the new Baobab restaurant in Valencia: a sophisticated space with a sparkling and cosmopolitan atmosphere, that transports from the heart of Spain to the international global cities.
Opened on 18 September 2018, and located in the city center, in the Gran Vía Marqués of Turia 73, Baobab is the result of the partnership between the chefs Raúl Aleixandre and Luis Pellicer de Castellví, renowned for the market cuisine with fresh ingredients, daily sourced from selected local suppliers. The space project, designed by architects Sergio Adelantado and Sara López Blanco, is characterized by the central bar that surrounds the open kitchen, the marble tables, the coloured fabric upholstered chairs and by the large windows with low-lying seating, overlooking the crowded city street.
Black is the dominant color, warmed by powder pink velvet curtains, light wood floors, wall murals, gold details and spectacular neon lights. Porro signs most of the furniture, providing the Join tables by Decoma Design and the Draped Chair chairs by Front, chosen with a black stained ash base and green or gray fabric coverings. Extremely comfortable, the Draped Chair through their inspiration of drapery give the project visual lightness and a pleasant sense of movement. Join tables are supplied in various shapes, circular, square and rectangular, with multiple finishes for the top, from white Carrara marble to the dark notes of the Sahara Noir, contributing to make the environment pleasantly rich and multifaceted.
