The renowned Italian high-end furniture brand Porro is excited to announce its participation in the prestigious Shanghai Putuo Kingdom Villa project, recently completed by Fuyicasa, the official Porro dealer in Shanghai. This exclusive proposal, designed by the talented Eva Liu of MOOOMA Design, represents a perfect balance between contemporary aesthetics and advanced functionality, featuring the integration of Porro’s Storage wardrobes designed by Piero Lissoni + CRS Porro. These wardrobes stand out for their innovative design and ability to offer bespoke solutions to meet varying space requirements in an elegant and sophisticated manner.
The Shanghai Putuo Kingdom Villa project is characterized by the expert use of light and bright colors, which enhance the sense of openness and fluidity of the spaces. The villa, predominantly dominated by neutral tones such as white and taupe, makes the most of natural light to create airy and expansive environments that give the impression of endless space. Additionally, the presence of smooth and reflective surfaces further accentuates the visual purity of the spaces, creating a timeless atmosphere with a distinctly contemporary character. A distinctive feature is the presence of the spiral staircase, positioned at the center of the main room. This not only serves as a transition element between the various levels of the house but also helps create a dynamic and flowing movement within the surrounding environment.
In this bright and open scenario, Porro's Storage wardrobes play a fundamental role. These systems, designed to maximize space usage without compromising aesthetics, are crafted with a white cherry structure, adding a touch of refinement to the interior compartments. The external lacquered finishes come in four color variations: carta da zucchero, giallo zolfo, bianco e tortora. The choice of these colors is not accidental, as each shade was selected to perfectly integrate with the specific characteristics of the spaces where the wardrobes are placed, optimizing the villa's aesthetic cohesion. Special attention has been given to the functionality of the Storage wardrobes near the children’s bathrooms: spacious full-height solutions featuring monochromatic finishes in yellow and light blue, paired with open shelves that showcase the wooden interiors. These colors were chosen not only for their ability to infuse freshness and vibrancy but also for their visual impact, enriching the environment and defining its atmosphere. In the bedrooms, the Storage wardrobes combine lacquered doors in more subdued and delicate colors, such as white and taupe, with open compartments in white cherry wood and transparent, luminous shelves. In the large dressing room serving the master bedroom, the transparent Storage wardrobe with Iron doors and metallic elements in a cuvée finish is placed on both sides. Completing the center of the room is the Storage Isola chest of drawers with a white cherry finish, preserving the visual harmony of the entire project. The modularity of the systems allows for complete customization, adapting to various space and organization needs, whether it be shelves for bags, containers for small accessories, pull-out shelves, or shoe racks, enabling optimal use of the available space.
With the guidance of Fuyicasa, Eva Liu was able to seamlessly integrate Porro systems within the villa, creating a dialogue between architecture and furniture. Thanks to her attention to detail and innovative design vision, Liu enriched the home with solutions that combine functionality and design, preserving the aesthetic purity of the project while transforming each environment into a unique sensory experience, where every detail is carefully crafted to elevate the quality of life, harmonizing aesthetics and functionality.
