Porro continues to establish its international philosophy and visibility with an event for architects inside the new Sfera Design showroom in Kiev, specialized on creation of individual style of domestic areas as well as public premises and exclusive representative of the world famous Italian design brands in Ucraine.

Inside the new space, 3 night and day settings show the excellent quality of Porro’s systems and collections: neat shapes warmed up by the chromatic vitality of Porro woods, spreading intense tones of elegance, preciousness and relax.
Tactility and structural use of colours characterize the first dining room, enclosed by made to measure Shift sliding doors in Canaletto walnut. These partitions, sliding along a treadable track on the floor, without requiring structural works, are the backdrop for the colorful Sidewall bookcases in giallo mustand and blu reale, leaning on the floor and fitted on a pivoting base: a totem presence simply customizing any ambience, which is extremely dynamically furnished. At the centre a Porro’s icon like Synapsis table exhibits a unique oval shape, cut at the ends, and the innovating distinctive design of the legs. The chromatic liveliness of the Porro essences warms the exhibition route with the presence of the eucalyptus Wood Cover paneling system. Strongly tactile surfaces with which to delineate the spaces, cover the walls and wrap the intrusive elements like columns and pilasters, creating a visual entity in the name of naturalness. Wood Cover is a sort of second skin, an equipped background onto which to hook hanging elements with unprecedented freedom. In this case, it acts as a support for Modern open units alternating wooden exteriors and lacquered interiors. The geometric pattern of a Modern+Load it composition is also protagonist: eye-catching mix of bookcase, storage element and display unit, it combines Load –It steel shelves and wall panels to the wooden Modern board and hanging elements. The ambiance is completed by the Boutique Mast walk-in cabinet, an elegant graphical cage characterized by thin circular metallic uprights in burnished brass, large cantilevered glider-wing shelves in eucalyptus and large mirrors: a solution with a high aesthetic impact conceived for a boutique or the home of a hedonist, destined for the contemplation and care of oneself.

The bedroom is created around the new Makura bed, which appears with its welcoming and inviting form embellished with soft cushions and a sinuous covering in bouclé fabric that ends in a light volute, a decorative geometric ornament brought back to order betraying the brand’s love for detail and for objects made with care. it is accompanied by Balancing Boxes, a coffee table consisting of a series of irregularly overlapping wooden boxes, as though balancing in space, and Mirror Table, a rectangular mirror with a frame incorporating a wooden console table, that creates the deceptive image of a round table. The Jade armchair and the small table Shahan offer an intimate and unique view for a rest, instead the Modern suspended shelf with sabbia lacquered Sidewall horizontal bookcase complete the ambiance. To separate from the exhibition dedicated to kitchens, Pivot partitions, large mobile units which, by rotating around a hinge, are to used now as doors, now as partition walls, now as closing units of a bookcase or of a cabinet.

The path culminates in the wardrobe area, the quintessence of Porro’s customization. Here Bespoke is not only expressed by the original and cutting-edge space solutions and by the accuracy of finishes for doors and interiors, but also by the rationality and the optimisation of interiors, so that the objects inside – one’s most beloved shirts, clothes and accessories – are not only safe and orderly, but also exposed and valued, with the extreme attention to hidden details that makes the wardrobe Porro different from all others, a world aside.

Special guest of the evening was painter Nikita Vlasov, author of the suggestive shop windows which reinterpreted the most famous products from Porro’s catalogue in a natural way. Specialized in the Japanese ink technique, and in a work that synthesizes art and design, he involved the audience in a painting workshop, culminated in the ceremony for the best works.
